Mr. Hodson graduated from Florin High School in South Sacramento in 1997. After high school he attended Cosumnes River College for one year before heading on to California State University Chico. While at Chico State, Mr. Hodson was a member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team from 1998 – 2000 and helped run the Big Brothers Big Sisters program his senior year through the C.A.V.E. program on campus. After graduating from Chico State with a degree in History, Mr. Hodson moved back to Sacramento and studied law at Lincoln Law School of Sacramento. In 2008 Mr. Hodson graduated from Lincoln Law School and passed the California State Bar Exam on the first try.
While attending law school Mr. Hodson interned at Greenfield Hardy Law Firm in El Dorado Hills, CA in which he was taught the civil side of the law. After a year internship at Greenfield Hardy Law Firm, Mr. Hodson accepted an internship with the Major Crimes Unit of the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office under the tutelage of Linda Parisi, Esq and Jeff Barbour, Esq. Mr. Hodson returned to the Sacramento County Public Defender’s office after passing the Bar Exam and worked as an attorney in Departments 3 and 4 of the Sacramento County Court House handling misdemeanor and DUI cases.
In July 2009, Mr. Hodson began working as house counsel for Farmers Insurance with the law firm of Field & Sanders. While at Field & Sanders, Mr. Hodson handled all sorts of personal injury claims made against Farmers Insurance and their insured clients handling all aspects of the cases from the earliest stages of litigation through trial if necessary.
In April 2012 Mr. Hodson began working at Ashton & Price. Since coming to Ashton & Price, Mr. Hodson has litigated claims involving motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, pedestrian accidents, dog bites, premise liability, slip and falls, and Government tort liability. Mr. Hodson has litigated cases against major corporations, government entities, and against the largest insurance companies such as Farmers Insurance, State Farm, Allstate, CSAA, Liberty Mutual and Mercury.
